that would depend on how much money you had to spend, it not just about the ram, the graphics card, etc also fall into place, do you like your old computer?

you need to think of these things before purchasing one, you dont want to end up buying a new computer with X ram and then a new 5000mg ram coming out , but it not compatable wiht your computer,

if you had the money, i would advise a new computer, as they dont just have better ram, but better quality, better g cards more compatable for gaming.

if you like your screen, just replace your modem, better comp dosent need a better monitor

Your video card and the processor is fine for this game. If you plan on playing any new games in the future, you'd probably want to upgrade your computer.

But if you plan on playing silkroad, I'd go with just upgrading your ram. This is an mmorpg, probably would want at least 1 gig of ram.

If i see Celeron and you play Games, you need def a new comp.

I would get a new computer. Your processor is old and your video card is outdated.
Adding more memory would not change much as far as lag.
You need a dedicated video card with at least 64mb Vram for silkroad if you want decent framerates.

I look upon your RAM with pity.

If you're going into hardcore gaming, I suggest making a custom PC.

not hardcore gaming... but excessive gaming lol... like i said... i want to b able to play mmo's on high detail and counterstrike without bad framerate

For 2Moons,

I'd go with that the suggestion of getting a new video card, at least a nvidia 6800, and upgrade the ram if you are on a tight budget.

I am not sure if your socket can support a better processor, but you ought to check and find out. Sometimes a AMD supports the same socket, but very unlikely, an AMD processor is 1/3 to 1/4 the cost of intel, so that might be your best bet.
