This makes your browser faster only if your using broadband or DSL connection. Its bad for dial-up.

Information on Pipelining

1.Type in about:config in your address.
2.Its in alphabetical order so search for these:
network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
3.Now right click on the value of network.http.pipelining, it should be false, and click toggle, it should go to true.
4.Do the same thing with network.http.proxy.pipelining.
5.Now go to network.http.pipelining.maxrequests and right click and modify the number. If your using a slow broadband maybe set it to like 8, if you think your computer is fast set it to like 35 or something. Faster the computer, higher the number.
6.Now, just right click anywhere on the page and select New, Integer.
Name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay, set value to 0.
It should be faster now.

I do not take credit for this, and I found this from a buddy on MSN.

Edit: For Dial-up users/Slow connection users this is really helpful: FasterFox
If you have fast connection, you don't really need as much.

Quick Tip:

Put your mouse over ze blue text. Leave it there for a while. The URL it's leading to should show up.

Also, don't mess around with the configurations, you might screw up your browser

You can always reset them >.>. Theres also another config where you can get extra pop up protection. I cant find it though.

Oh, I didn't know, sorry. I think the pop up blocker thing is raising security level?

Quicker? Not so! If you're using FireFox, the URL appears instantly in the lower left corner of the brower's window when your mouse is over the link.

Remember, this doesn't really make your internet faster, it deletes the delay your firefox loads pages.

I was just experimenting with this, you should set the maxrequests higher, I think broadband should be around 35, and faster connections like T3 should be around 45.

I think Fasterfox just reduces lag caused by pop-ups

What are you talking about, every browser gets popups.

Omg, you are really stupid. Firefox has got a build-in popup blocker, and with the right scripts (AdBlock, NoScript etc.), you wont even feel a popup.

My firefox doesn't...

That's because you are a dumbass and deactivated it..

Functions (Dunno if it's the right thing - The second from the right) -> Options (LAST) -> Nr. 3 from the left -> Block Popup-windows..

Doesn't work as well I think. I always have that checked and I still get them. And don't flame me god.
