All i can say is that the PS3 has lost the claims over its $600 price tag
for a 60GB harddrive.
"Microsoft has equipped the new Xbox with a 120GB hard drive and an HDMI port to make the 360 comparable to the PlayStation 3. The Xbox 360 Elite won't be replacing either of the current models, mostly because its advanced feature set is designed to appeal to enthusiasts and early adopters--the two consumer groups willing to spend more than $399 on a game console. well yes and no...yes as in there quoted saying so
and no, because rumors of the 360 Elite have been floating around right
after the orignal 360 was realised, its how the 360 was meant to be...
but like all consoles it was ever finished. not know it is

True but still, the ps3 came out better then the xbox 360 so they had some kinda reserved "extra" ready to come out and own the ps3. Yes, it worked.

well yes it did...still $200 cheaper then a PS3, better games, better
online capabilities and now double the storage space.
I mean even Nintendo said theres a 20GB Wii, but due to costs they
scraped it, so who knows maybe one day they will realise that as well

your kidding me right..i don't mean to go on an anti-sony rant BUT...
the PS3 had the worst lauch of any 7th generation system to date. Its recied way more critisicm and than the Wii and the 360 from both critics and from gamers. Its a giant over priced Blue-ray player and ppl realize that. 360 doesn't have to compete with anything the only market that they're losing in is japan which isn't really that big a deal seeing as every PS3 sony sells they lose about $300 (cost about 800 to make the high end one) and microsoft is actually making money off its console im not sure by how much but its over $100 i think. Needless to mention that both the 360 and the PS3 got there asses handed to them by the Wii which has been the most positivly recieved system s far and had a better launch than 360 or PS3 and is currently selling more units per month that both. I could write another paragraph about how developers are find the PS3 to be less powerful and more complicated to work with than expected n in some cases inferior to the 360.....but that would be redundant seeing as i've already stated it

ok nice fanboy rant.
But wanna add one thing...Wii is outselling the PS3 in US and Japan.
i mean take Japan.
PS3= 700,000 units sold
Wii = 1,500,000 units sold
figures in the US are the same, only in the UK did the PS3 have a better
launch (in terms of sales) then the Wii

I'm a little disappointed. I was expecting it to ship with the new 65nm processors, which run cooler and faster. And I could do without all that HD space. No sense paying for something I'm not going to use.

ya but from what i know is you gotta buy a hd-dvd add on which cost $199 around so when you add the cost it's almost as much as ps3.

For those that want to get the hd separate (already have a xbox 360) It'll send the price of their xbox way past the price of the ps3.
