I just saw inside my textbook that 40% of car accidents have something to do with alchohol. I'm just wondering if a drunk threw his beer at a person driving by and it hit the person driving and then that guy suddenly swirls around in his car and crashes into a tree, would this be related?

Only if he actually threw just beer. If he threw a can or bottle of beer it goes into the "recyclable-related" subcategory.
