ok, my internet is SERIOUSLY screwed

Been having problems with my internet being EXTREMLEY slow the last few days. Today there was an improvement to the speed! but only the upload speed. I can now upload faster than i can download! "whats up with that!"
ISP Monitor Speedtest (29/03/2007 18:52)
Downstream: 183 Kbps (22.84 KB/s)
Upstream: 223 Kbps (27.89 KB/s)
Ping: 75 ms (0% Packet Loss)
lol. Maybe its a sign that i should finish making my website instead of bowsing others

done the maintanance routine (spyware, virus, scan disk, delete useless files, update windows)?
update modem driver?
contact isp?
tweak internet settings?

lol, i wasnt looking for help on how to fix it but thanks anywho, its just kinda stupid how the upload is faster!
EDIT: speedtest.net result, just incase somebody thinks i made it up... not naming any names...

I think that's a mistake. I've NEVER gotten over half a meg upload before.

that must be a sdsl connection! they are alot more expensive than normal adsl connections!

Had to take a NL Server o0 ... ping sucked, download speed was only half of what it should be ... upload was like it should be.
I suppose it is pretty server-/routing-dependent even when they are not far away.
got a little better
should be 6xxx / 5xx ... and the ping is horrible ... but I tried the Munich Server (only german server) as well and it wasn't any better :<
a german speedtest gave me 15ms ... but it's all ok, WLAN through several doors and walls might slow down things a bit as well.
Another speedtest gave me this:

Upload-Geschwindigkeit:
665 kbit/s (83 kByte/s)
Das Ergebnis entspricht folgendem Anschlusstyp: DSL 6.000

my internet is hosed atm as well. Every 5 min I get disconnected completely.
Called the cable company last night and somhow I bypassed their usual BS answers and they are sending a tech tonight.
This happens every time it rains alot. I'm hoping they find the problem and I don't have to wait until June when it drys out.
I can't play any games because of the d/c (refer to key-j's sig), and posting or trying to browse a site is worse than being on dialup.

Last Result:
Download Speed: 688 kbps (86 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 7093 kbps (886.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

Just ran the test again. Look how big my epeen is!
And tried the speedtest one, which used a speakeasy server anyway so not much difference.

huge proxy servers here. they filter everything. I assume that's why my d/l is so bad. The upload is pretty nice though. Hooray for working for the phone company.
