does anyone watch this or use to cuse i know there are 3 seasons but i dont know which 1 is the first one...help please.

I allways liked the idea of an MMO where you would actually GO INTO.

Stopped watching long ago though, so this post is of no help ^_^

i watched it, well all the anime, but never played the games.

ok here's the list according to the timeline:
.hack//SIGN
.hack games (the 1st series -- infection, mutation, outbreak, quarantine)
.hack//legend of the twilight (aka DUSK)
.hack//ROOTs
.hack//G.U. (2nd series of games)

*.hack//legend of the twilight is somewhat out of continuity, and is a bit different from the other two anime series.

*and don't forget .hack//GIFT, an extra add-on to SIGN. <-- very funny, but hard to find. it's deleted on youtube due to some... inappropriate content for kids.

*.hack//liminality is a 4 episode mini-series that is set at the same time as the 1st game series. basically it shows everything that's happening in the real world during the crisis.

SIGN is the only anime that is dubbed in english.

yep, sign is the first of the first. if u find it confusing then read a brief summary. twilight is after the 1st series of games (you know the avatar of the legendary .hackers and stuff those kids won). then roots is in World2, the newer version of the game with a lot of added content. the database for the old version is destroyed in a fire or something.

This anime gets so off track loll.

IMO this anime is more based on its music than its action

I watched Sign. It was kinda meh. Got really boring in the middle and then kinda got better near the end.

lol, it's just a different non-action style anime. and the music is awesome. i have to admit it's very boring if you are watching it on TV where they show 1 episode per day, so go on youtube and watch them all at once

Ive never watched the movie on tv, but the games on the ps2 are so fun... and i also hate anime and any other chinese cartoon stuff

but the game is extremely fun

the game is fun??? really? all the reviews i've read said the game is extremely repetitive and semi-confusing because it's a single player rpg trying to simulate a mmo. and it takes 4 games to finish the storyline.

most people give up on the second game. lol
