Say you'd died and the doctors have done all they could to save you. Some of your organs are still very healthy. Would you donate? Why and why not?

No, im kind of using them at the moment.

Hmm when I die I would donate something I guess but I dont see myself donating anything while I'm alive.

If someone needed it to live then I would be happy to help out. I just hope my organs don't end up on the black market.

Don't be so naive, when I was in high school people came in with stories of how they've been in car accidents or they've eaten bad squid which infected one of their organs (I forget which).

I was going to post a picture of the organ donor stamp on my driver's license but my camera is on the fritz. Anyway, yes.

Well i don't own any Organs. I do have a couple pianos though. Think they would accept that?

It's a good thing to do, that's for sure.
And who says every donated lung goes to a smoker? You don't need to be a doctor to know that that's not the only reason why some need new lungs.

I don't know what I'd do myself, though. It's a really good thing to do, but I'd be lying if I said I'd definitely donate them to others. I promise I'll make up my mind about it before I die mmmkay?

My wife has repeatedly told me that if I die first she will lie and tell them I'm a donor though.

What does it matter why the person needs the organ? If they're going to die it's a mitzvah to help even if they are a smoker or an alcoholic or a drug addict.

Stamps can be peeled off. I got mine permanently marked, well until I fill the form for the next licence renewal anyway.

Religion is a bunch of bullshit some guys made up a long time ago. Great it has some truth to it, but it's a bunch of over exaggerated stories put into a book to create hope, just like when they give people vitamins telling them it'll heal their disease.

But lets put this into a different situation:

There is a kid about to die, you are already dead, you get to choose if he lives by saying "Yes he lives" or "No he dies", which would you choose?

If you won't say yes, well there is something wrong with you. That is exactly what not donating your organs to a dying person WHEN YOU ARE ALREADY DEAD is like.

It's pretty natural for people want their beliefes heard by others, everyone has their opinion about things.....it makes life more interesting. Think about every president, when we elect them they argue with each other about what each one thinks is better for the country. Arguing is a part of society, it isn't a bad thing. Why does everyone try to be "good" without thinking.......

And alleyesonme you need to chill. This is a discussion on an internet forum and you make it out to be the most important thing in the world. The reason mods lock topics isn't because of arguments, its because people get abusive in their arguements, like you are doing here.

I believe in God, but in my mind religion is bullshit. I really hate people trying to prove me otherwise, but I don't mind as long as they have a smart way to do it and can make it a good argument and not just "because it's in the bible it has to be right". If you're going to talk, then do it with some evidence to back you up.
