Have I got a virus?

On my other computer, when it turns on the graphics are like they are on safe mode, the colour's screwed up and on display it won't let me change from '4-bit'. Some error happens when it starts and from then it's fine. But recently the Internet's being going funny, like it won't load a lot of pages, including this one. Does anyone know what's happening?
