....I dunno dude, I bought a Dell.
Fucken worthless POS. Dell infects the entire god damned computer down to the god damned OS and drivers. JESUS.
NOTE: This isn't really a thread for saying what motherboard you've got...I just thought it would be a good way to set up my little joke on myself.

Dell. For when you have the money, but absolutely no idea about computers.

Well no it was a gift, and my gramps is the kinda guy to trust in big name corporations like Dell. He uses Dells himself, and for a business man, a Dell works fine. So therefore a Dell works fine for me as well, according to gramps.

They're not bad machines, it's just that you could get so much more if you used the money to get one on building your own.

They're pretty bad. Unless I've got a lemon. No, my family has owned two different dell desktops, and now I've got a dell notebook...they all pale in comparison to my bro's custom made AMD desktop...
And you might say 'well it was custom and probly expensive'...which is very true. It was top of the line sauce back in the day when he got it - but it's a Pentium...4 I hope. Could be 3. Old ass, big ass video card, etc...my laptop probably outperforms it power wise.
His is just so much more reliable.

Agree with whoever said it:
Dell = If you know nothing about computers. Great thing is, it will break often and they will be there to fix it, giving you the impression that they have great customer service. But, as with happened with everyone I know who bought a dell, they will break, and break in a way that dell did not foresee.
When that happens, they will do all they can to avoid you - and at the same time try to sell you a new Dell. Of course, you could try to fix it, but dell has custom made parts that are not replaceable or try to **** you by selling you stuff like on board video cards.

Yup, I hear when you buy a Dell, you've got to constantly buy Dell parts when you want to upgrade.
BTW their customer service sucks. They say they're available 24/7, yet you sit there waiting on hold for literally an hour or more before you talk to a real person; only to find out you need to BE at your god damned computer for whatever reason.
Yeah I've wasted several hours of my life talking to those fucken bastards. Nothing is fixed due to them. I'm doing all the troubleshooting by myself. And it pisses me the **** off that I've got to to that. Cos with a Dell, it's god damned complicated.

You accidentally put a question mark on your 'lol'. Do you laugh in a questioning maner in RL? Is it possible? NO, DIDN'T THINK SO.

Got a Dell right now. Best bang for the buck for the ammount of $$ I could afford at the time. Getting ready to build a new one.
aBit AW9D Max M/B
E6600 Core2Duo
1G DDR2 800
Getting a 7900GT video card for now as a place holder. Once prices come down on the DX10 cards I'll replace it. I Refuse to spend $600 on a video card that should be 1/2 price in 6 months.

Motherboard is an intel afaik.
If I could build my own comp, it would be better as the one I have now.
But lack of knowledge prevents it.
No dell tough.
