Getting to 60 in WoW is supposed to be easy.. or atleast, so i've heard. And Ryoko got there pretty fast as well, but then again, i dont know what crazy hours he puts in.

I played on the same server with him for a while and he was on a lot, constantly leveling.

So if you play daily for a decent amount of time levels come easy.

Early leveling is harder in WoW, late game leveling is easier in WoW.

Much, much harder to cap in SRO. I played SRO pretty actively for five or six months and reached level 64. Cap is now 80, that's what? Another month at the very least, probably two. From what I've heard of WOW, I could have gotten two or three (or four) characters to 60 in that time.

in wow i get 0.50 % per kill at lvl 28...
at lvl 37 in sro with a 5 lvl gap i get 0.04% per kill...

Once you factor in all the money spent on silk and item mall shit SRO doesn't seem so cheap.

Bottom line: Once you leave sro you win.

SRO takes a lot longer to hit the lvl cap in. WoW can be done fast, but if you're doing EVERYTHING on you're own, it will take a longer. WoW is more about end-game content though, so once you're 70, you haven't even viewed half of the game.

What he said..

But when you reach lvl 60 or 70 you then go onto instances.. You start from the bottom then work your way up. Its like lvling again but you are lvling up your gear, if that makes any sence. Ive been playing wow for well over 2 years now (not played in almost a month :( ) But my gear is crap compared to some on my server.

Leveling in WoW is easy.

Its only slower on your first char cuz you don't know where to go, what quests to pick up, where to go to complete those quests, and you have to look everything up.

Second char levels 2x as fast.

Both level faster than SRO.

You do NOT level by grinding in WoW.

You get a billion quests. Go kill 4 of these mob, 3 of these, and 6 of these.

Kill 13 mobs, turn it in for a quest reward (that at lower levels) gives you like 20% of your level.

I prefere to fill my log, get 10-15 quests or as much as I can in an area, knock out the whole list, and turn them in all at once.

Many quests give you items, money, and XP. Its fun. Some chain quests give you really nice items (for your level, anyway) which give you more drive to do it.

Even if your lower level, getting blues and pimping out your char is fun =) and enjoyable.

Pairing with Cyclone (healer) and I (warrior) from levels 1-60, we could kick out entire areas in one evening, every evening, then go do an instance to get gear / have fun.

We both had a week off at the same time around xmas, so we did 50-60 in less than a week.

They still call it 'grinding quests', but if your an SRO veteran, that word 'grind' is a JOKE.

It was cake.

Even easier if I made a second char, don't have to look up shit or figgure anything out this time.

60-70 when the cap went up wasnt bad. Did most of it in instances.

It took my twice as long to do 60-70 than the couple players in my guild who don't have a RL job or school, but whatever. They're 1337, and I have a life.

:!: Wow, imo was a lot more fun as a lowbie leveling up. Even tho the desire is to hit cap, you dont see that until you do. It was soooo much fun learning, leveling, getting items and meeting people.

At end game, that changes, into whos most 1337, which guilds own, whos in kara first, who has downed the most bosses

And really... I dont enjoy it much. Its all 'ownage' and 'e-peen'. The players / people you meet are much nicer along the road to cap.

Once your capped, its 100% e-peen.

If you browse the big guilds websites, they have rules like

-You must attend raid 5 nights a week
-You must donate your matts to the guild bank
-You must be this spec, for this class.

Most of them, being 5 people who started the guild, who get everything, and are loaded - the rest are pawns. Many big guilds 'booted' half they're loyal MC BWL NAXX members because the expansion is 25 man raids, and they didnt want to gear the others anymore.

Visit their forums. Forums tell you .....everything.

The people that were mass booted, of course angry especially after months of service, just get flamed up and down and called cowards.

Sadly, THIS IS the most efficent way to achieve content, get gear, and own.

But takes a lot of enjoyment away from 'playing video game.'

Yes, its free.

And your surrounded by 6-7 bots anywhere you go, anywhere you train.

Lots of people say "oh theres bots in wow blah blah blah".

Yeah, heard of them. Heard there were a couple in winterspring before cap went up.

So what.

70 levels and havn't seen one for myself. Ignorance is soooooo bliss.

Faster to grind in WoW than quest.

However you lose the opportunity to receive some of the nice quest rewards.

Depends on class.

Warrior have no healing capability cept pot / bandage. Very time consuming / painfull to grind on own. Can only fight 1-2 things at once. 3 if spells are not on cooldown. But good spells have 30 min cooldowns for warriors.

Then sit, eat, and bandage.

Specially now. Food restore 7k health or so. I have 11-12k. So I have to eat AND bandage to fill, after 1-2 mob.

Other mobs, like the ones in netherstorm that ice, freeze, ice, teleport... warrior pretty much farked. Gave up on them until I had help.

If we cant run or hit a target, nothing we can do. And 12k armor does nothing at all for spell damage. It hurts.

Other classes like lock, mage, shadow priest or hunter much much easier to do things by themselves / kill mobs.

First to in the guild to hit 70 were a and shadow priest, followed days after by a mage and another shadow priest. Then the hunter hit 70. Then the warriors, followed by resto druid / holy priest.

I don't agree with the warrior comment.. It depends on you're build and gear. My warrior could grind/farm just as or faster than mages and locks.

-Then again.. My warrior is a dps machine.
