Pretty sad actually..having nothing to do besides gaming, then the only thing that gives you pleasure and distraction....ends up beeing the thing that kills you.

Eat like a noob, play like a noob.

Socialize like a noob, play like a noob.

Die pwning...you don't get to play, because you're dead.

My point?

There isn't one.

Yes it's not healthy at all to play many hours non stop and have almost no breaks to eat/sleep and to other stuff you need to do.Your body can't manage this on the long run..So think about it everyone.

^_^ I have to say most the replies so far are gamers trying to make themselves feel better by thinking they are a lot different to that guy but in fact you probably aren't. Let me tell you, you don't need to play a marathon to die from gaming so everyone should consider minimizing time they play video games. Advice play single player games and slowly stop. I believe at least 25% of this forum will suffer health problems later in life if they already don't due to their 'hardcore' gaming habits. Trust me playing anything over 1hrs a day on a regular basis is 'hardcore' and bad for you.

Hehe thx about my sig.

You're right XuChu, even tho we all aren't dying because of a weeks worth of playing, sitting at a computer for however long(i've done max of 12 hrs) is bound to mess us up physically in the long run.

But it's so fun... Maybe if Joymax went and made SRO available on the wii we could all be physically active while enjoying the game at the same time. doubtful tho..

And a select few of the replies are trying to make themselves look like they're above such things.

I sit at my computer all day, i'm probably healthier then most people who go out often. i have that lucky metabolism.

people die, no matter what.

couple years back a young boy, only 18 started playing football for one of the premiership teams in england. he was excited and his family thrilled he had gotten so far, his first ever game, in front of hundreds of thousands of people.

the game starts, he ran a few yards, fell to the ground, motionless.

18 year old athlete, dead in an instant, heart failure.

it doesnt really matter what you do

From what I've heard, in some cases the cause of death was heart failure due exhaustion. :/

That, or your mother smacks you to death because you play too much video games. Which actually really happened to a guy who was playing too much CS, according to his mum.

Can't define whether gaming is 'healthy' or 'unhealthy'. If you game like fatass, it's unhealthy. If you game at a reasonable rate, it's totally healthy.
