grrrr, anyone elses isp have this stupid policy on their unlimited download packages? i know most do (this policy basically says we can download an unlimited amount of data but we have to be reasonable, in other words, your not allowed to download an unlimited amount of data

). My isp has been throwing it in my face for the past few months because i have apparetnly been downloading too much and now they have stuck me onto the high users connection from 6-11pm everyday (peek times).
these connections are clogged with all the users who download too much, apparently only 1% of ALL the users are in this but together they use 30% of the isps bandwidth O.o.
I dont even have any p2p or torrent programs and i only have a 2mb connection! According to my isp a "large" file is 50-100mb! maybe 2 years ago that would have been large! stupid isp.

Hmm I don't know if my ISP has a policy like that...
I've downloaded a pretty good amount of stuff in the past, not so much recently...
Will probably have to check into that

Yea, we have policies like that. Here you have 2 choices, cable or dsl. When i was hooked up to dsl during my big downloading days, i could easily pull 100+ gigs a month and they wouldnt say anything about it. I moved and had to change to cable and continued with my downloading....needless to say, 2 months into it, they suspended my account for a week due to overusage.

My buddy got capped on cable and was only allowed 1 hour of highspeed.
Also, if he was caught downloading at excess outside of that hour his service would be terminated.. hoping it doesn't happen to me since we have the same ISP.
