How much does an Egg cost?

Well, im probably going to ask you one of the wierdest questions you might have heard in a long time, but it's for school work. So i need answers people!

How much does one egg cost in the country you live in? Now, you might not know the price off one egg, because u buy them in packs of 6 or 12. So then, please give me the price of the packs of egg you buy, and how many the pack includes.

Now, if you have different "qualities" of eggs in your country, could you just tell me the price for an average joe family class of egg. (Yes, its a wierd sentance)

Any and all responses are thanked.

To make things easier, could u respond it in the following.

Code: Select all

Country:
Egg Price:
Single, 6 or 12:
Other:

Thanks for your time, and once again. I apologise for the randomness

Country: The Netherlands
Egg Price: 6: € 0.85 12: € 1.62
Single, 6 or 12: Look above
Other: We got 4 classes of eggs, the cheapest ones are from the chickens that live in very small cages, the most expensive ones are bio eggs, from chickens who can walk outside and got good food. Most people buy 3rd class eggs, from chickens who can walk inside a barn. Less good than the bio chickens, but less expensive.

EDIT: Called my uncle, in case you wanted the pricecheck for China:

Country: China
Egg Price: 6: 5 Yuan
Single, 6 or 12: 6
Other: -

Chicken says;

Country: Chickenstein
Egg Price: 5 feathers and some grain.
Single, 6 or 12: 6
Other: All eggs are marked on quality, during this process, some eggs might break. The chickens are not responsible for any of this.

I don't think the grade has anything to do with the size. At least, the eggs at my supermarket are all the same grade and come in medium, large and x-large. And it all depends on where you shop.

Whole Foods Brighton (U.S.A.)
$1.09/dozen ($0.09@)
Large Grade A

Farmer's Bounty (U.S.A.)
$1.69/dozen ($0.14@)
X-Large Grade A
