Such a HUGE difference in dl speed shouldn't exist.
And I probably shouldn't have pasted my entire screen, but I thought maybe a few of you would enjoy my desktop.

If you are dling two things at the same time, one is faster than the other.

True, but it would be A LOT closer than that. More towards 50/50.
And I was getting extremely slow speeds with IE7 without FF downloading the same file.
Not to mention, I tried the same download over 5 times and still got the same results - sometimes even slower than 1kb/s.

Yes, exact same source.

1) Firefox opens 8-16 more pipelines, which fastenes the speed.
2) Firefox will always be the fastest, since it takes pretty much 99% of the connection. - If you're running uTorrent or other torrent-downloaders, then firefox WILL blow.

Unfortunately, that's always the case when I have uTorrent & FF sucking bandwidth at the same time. :-/

Yes. And for ppl who want FF3a2, just google it. But why use an alpha version if your version is working fine?
iGod wrote:I'm pretty sure u didn't start the two dls at the same time
You're right. There was about a 20 sec delay between starting the FF download and the IE download. I had to make sure the FF speed would stay stable unlike the IE speed which constantly dropped from ~20kb/s to ~300b/s.
