Botters
CCFers
Gold-buyers
Hackers
Lousy security
Messed up GM handling OF the lousy security
Paying through your nose for monkey+GT+astrals+immortals just to remain competitive in the game (not to mention trying to outlast bots)
Try this game, hero online
http://hero.netgame.com/
Botters don't really make it past lvl 40-45 (around 3 days of solid levelling) before they get p-banned.
Haven't heard of any CCFing problems.
Unlike JM, the GMs DO try to help with account retrieval in hacking cases (may be slow but at least they do SOMETHING)
The difference between a paying player and a non-paying one aren't too great when it comes to lvling speed, exp tix give ~10-20% bonus only.
I'm just posting this here for anybody who shares the same views I have of SRO as I've stated above. IMO, if the game deteriorates to the point where even this forum is tolerant of botters (i.e. they don't get slapped with the ban-stick straightaway), there's no point playing it anymore since even the better half of the community has gone downhill.
This game is good for those who need good gameplay and yet don't like the quality of service they pay for from JM. If it helps convince you any, it's completely weened me off SRO (that last bit of me that just kept playing a little here and there even though I despised the company's efforts).
GGPO.
P.S
Admins and mods may delete this but I feel it only does good to let other players like me in this forum know that there's better out there.

None taken. But I'm sure SRO is lag free what with servers easily logged into and all.
GFX not top of the line but decent.
I'm not high lvl enough to decently experience the fighting system yet but I like the features I mentioned about the game more than SRO enough to make the switch. That's all that matters isn't it?
P.S
I haven't ONCE been unable to log into their servers yet. And lag is only bad when teleporting into and out of the central market place.

I played hero online for a while, got to lvl 32 ( i think ). Gets very boring after a while with no jobs, and i think that the fighting and skill system is quite bad.
Has some good ideas with some of the anti botting schemes and the central market place, and doesnt lag much.

While there aren't jobs, there are faction wars. That's after lvl 40 or so though. This is similar to the faction wars in RoseOnline to those who are familiar with the game. For me, jobs never really were a big part of SRO since grinding was always more profitable. Jobbing was only for the rare break in the grind.
The skill trees aren't very extensive but I think that just means no need to spend 1-2 months farming and suiciding to delvl.

I played Hero some time ago, and got to 5x. But I just can't stand the lag of the servers, and especially got stuck in the Market server 5+ times in a single week. Think again before you say that HeroOnline have no bot, Horse botters sre just everywhere.
And yes I have to agree, the GFX sux.

Hero was the new big thing a long time ago on srf.

Hero online is crap, you have ridiculously high leveling rates (1-50 two weeks), and it's also very boring. in hero, you can shoot an archer skill continously( very idiotic thing ) Imagine shooting maxed multi-arrow all the time.....

I was playing hero for a while, and then I stumbled over SRO...

Tried Hero for a month - DONE.
Got invite into 2moons. Can't really talk about it due to NDA. BUT, with a few not so minor changes this can be an awesome game. Not digging CB but wont give up on it yet. OB can be easily improved.
Curently playing Rappelz and Corum. Rapelz has a bunch of my old SRO union members in it in a guild so that is great. Corum just went into OB. More of a toony looking game. Still low lvl so no great insight yet.

lexies it's worth playing. It seems that those classes that start slow are better later. Summoner and Sorceress start VERY fast. Decent build info on the forum site.

Game seems nice I guess I'll play an archer

My biggest complaint is that everything has such a large "footprint". Since 2 objects can't be in the same space and objects and toons have large "footprints" it is easy to get blocked. That and the AI wont walk you around the block. You must do it yourself. Sometimes having to go backwards first to get unstuck.
