What kind of racing do you like to watch?

Reading the do you drive thread made me wonder what kind of racing people like to watch.
I've been to numerous Indy 500s (booooo to the spilt of indy and cart), a couple of brickyard 400 (I'm not a NASCAR fan though), alot of SCCA endurance races (24 Hours of Daytona and the Petite Le Mans in Atlanta), and even participated in autocrossing.
I find watching it on TV terribly boring though. You really need to be there to feel the cars go by, smell the brakes, and enjoy the track bunnies. I usually get a super ticket so I can visit the garages and talk to the drivers.
I still want to go to Le Mans, Monte Carlo, Pikes Peak, and watch some rallies.

I'd love to go to F1 races in Asia. Here in the US it's not asa much fun (see the F1 race at Indy a year or so ago when only 6 cars took the track (something to due with Michelin's pull out or something like that) and were forced to stop when fans thew all their trash on the track in disgust.
I also want to watch some in Laguna Seca, the downhill corkscrew is supposed to be incredible to see (cool enough in Gran Turismo).

Yeah, Michelin said that their tires just couldnt take the pressure of the banked curve.
So yeah, that race must have sucked... Malaysia is a really cool race. and OMG they are like seriously loud, i had NO IDEA!!!
They were as loud as the Jets that flew over for the opening, o and pits are so cool, especially when u watch it from above their heads!

**** all that jockeying

it's the animals that do most of the work, the rider only does his best to stay on it.
And as for F1 or Nascar stuff...
George Carlin wrote:I love when things go wrong[...] U know why I watch Nascar? Cos of the accidents where the cars flip about ten times and go up in flames
Those guys are going in circles the whole day, better to watch stuff where they get somewhere... like
STREET RACING

If you want something exiting get away from the tv and watch some pyromanians light themself on fire, now thats entertainment.
Btw i watch F1 sometimes.

I don't like to watch legal racing...I find it pretty boring lol. I prefer to do the driving myself. Except rally racing. Rally takes huge steel and titanium webbos.
I do, on the other hand, like to watch street racing and drifting video's.
EDIT: Forgot about drag racing LMAO. Watching drag racing is the shit. Any speed, it's pretty fun watching everyday cars that I could easily own race eachother.
I intend on going to an NHRA funny car event whenever I get the oppertunity. Funny cars=split ear drums and more bass than my sound system can produce by far.

Formula 1 and Superbike races. Aside from the street racing I like to watch motocross whenever it's on. Nascar stock car racing is just crap.. It's the same 4 dudes fighting for the lead, no matter what.

Legal races:
Drifts, 1/4 mile runs, WRC and DTM.
(I'm learning to drift and I do 1/4 mile runs sometimes)
Illegal races:
Highway sprints, Highway exit drifts, street racing etc.

(I do these myself as well

)

Going 500 laps in a hot ass car with no food...not boring, it would be the most physically and mentally challenging thing you've probaby ever yet done.
On a side note, I'd rather drift than race in a circle as well. But I'd rather race along a windy mountain road than drift.
Hmm and in case you were wondering, if you really would like to race for a career, you need to go and get a racing license. Look it up online. It's a huge process, but not really all that difficult if you're persistent, have the money, and actually have the skills you think you have.

You wouldn't think it but speed boat races are quite intense.
