A couple friends of mine recently bought new computers. One of them was stuck with a 5500.
After googling it and asking around, it's a "joke card". Companies like e-machine and dell like sticking it in "gaming" machines when in reality they can barely pull over 30 fps while playing CS:S let alone more demanding games.
The card really sucks, if you're playing SRO it's ok but expect to change cards as soon as you switch to a newer game.
But I must add, the 5500 is truly a BUDGET card, for the amount of performance you get from the card, it isn't a bad deal. Yet, if you're a serious gamer, you should rethink your choice.

Couple things.
1)That MB/Athlon combo is well over 2 year old technology wise. Any serious machine built now has DDR2 and the newer Sata 3gb. Nothing you put into it will carry over to a new build in another year.
2) Check to see who makes that PSU when you get it. If it is not a good maker I wouldn't use it in the 1st place. Nothing like blowing up a $1000+ computer because you saved $20 on the power supply.
3) If you are going to be using this for serious gaming update that vid card. I would say use the 5500 as a placeholder until the price of the DX10 cards came down but I don't even think you will get a DX10 card to run on that mobo and be stable.
4) Never heard of that RAM. I NEVER try to save money on the RAM. If the PC won't run you didn't save smart money.
5) For great tips on building your own PC check out pcmech.com
All that being said this will build a solid machine. Going to have limited upgadeability. Won't be a screaming gamer. But,it will be fine to surf the net or run a word processor.

Gave in to the force of rationallity. Uninstalled this bot infested game and never looked back.
Now I just play in the OTL and my old guild forum.

I hope you're not trying to show off your plain 19" LCD.
Everyone I know has an LCD, either 19" or 19" widescreen and up.

i have a 17" LCD, and it looks cool.
oh and to whoever advised him to buy a radeon x700 vid card, let's just say that card sucks. x850 is much better, although i would still go with a GeForce 6800 at least.

I don't have a monitor, I use my Pioneer Plasma TV as a monitor when I'm working on my pc.
It's really relaxing to the eye not having to sit right infront of the screen.

Yes that's a 50"
Incredibly sexy. I can just imagine girls gone wild on that.
I have dual screen 19" LCD and 17" LCD widescreen, and my laptop is 19" widescreen. The LCDs for my desktop are first generation and the refresh on them isn't competitive with the stuff coming out anymore, you're making me want to just buy a TV and hook it up, although sitting infront of that trying to play WoW from 2 feet away would kind of be hard on the eyes.

I am going wild on it!
And err, I can recommend using a TV as a monitor, it's just alot more relaxing watching a TV than watching a rather small monitor.
The whole point of it is that you are able to sit on the other side of the room and still be able to see what is going on.
You are not supposed to sit right infront of it, lol.
Then you could just sit infront of a monitor as well ~_~.
