If Linux were able to work alongside Windows and recognize my WLAN,Soundcard,grafic-card, actually all my hardware I'd be gratefull and would switch.
.
.
.
but it doesn't

--> still far away from NEXT-GEN

linux takes a little getting used to, it -can- mostly pre detect stuff, i had al ittle trouble getting my network to work with it when i tried kubuntu, but with help i did get it going.
the interface and layout is real nice from the oens ive seen, and it runs better.
I'd love to see its useability improve to the point that a new user could just switch to it.
i use windows still, 'cause i'm not much if a software techy, i prefer screwdrivers and electrocution.
but still.... **** windows
