First ill post a couple screens of LOTRO (lord of the rings online ) self explatory really you play in middle earth along the lore lines of the books.

LOTRO has its strong points but i knew from the day i started testing it was not the game for me,there brand of pvp is even more care bear than SRO's but the mechanics gameplay, support, graphics, and community all rock, If you are a tolkein fan or a game where everyone gets along and raids together makes you smile go for it you will love lotro.

These are from Vangaurd saga of heroes .

LOL now Thats a Dead Ravine woot

Where to start on vangaurd well sigil and sony really got all there ducks in a row (they better its been in dev since 95)

PVP is insane you got 2 choices FFA (free for all) servers or team servers or consent only IE gay flag type thing. Areis and i play team server .

FFA. kill anyone anytime anywhere for any reason w/o penalty.
Team. good vs evil 1 guess wich side i play :p

Crafting hmm a foreign concept to most sro players but FYI in most mmo's killing 9287459827340958270394857029834750982 rats isnt the only thing to do.

Atomespheric flight . Thats right hop on ure dragon, griffon, wvryen and take off to the skies and not just hover like wow im talking up up and away till the ground dissapears. There is also something like 200 other mounts you can have .

Skills... at lvl 8 i had 13 and needed to use them all. at lvl 50 a well built char has over 100 different skills ( not book 1-20 of 3)

Team play this is a true MMO you need to group (yes you can solo but carefully) not only that the things you can do with a group are alot more fun!!!

The world . It is the largest seamless (no loading zones no instances) in any mmo ever. Just for perspective my noobie area takes about 40 mins to walk across before you see anything over lvl 8. Honestly the starter area is bigger than sro both euro and china combined.

Custimasation ......... no two chars look alike over 1k options for your char to personalise at creation.

Items and weapons lol like i said no 2 chars look the same that includes the wep 2 lvl 10 knights may look like night and day one with a sword the other with a mace and yet a third with a lance or staff or knucklers or...or...or

Its hard the game is not for simpletons its complex you dont just have int and str you got 10 different things to put ure points into.

I left out sooo much but im sick of typing.

Passions scale of 1-10 10 being the mother of all MMO's

LOTRO : 7 the lack of normal pvp holds it back but the game is fun to play and gr8 to look at.

Vangaurd : so far 8 and 1/2 i hold off a 9 cause i havent tried crafting at all so if crafting is a giant turd the game gets an 8 and 1/2 if crafting is even slightly entertaining its a 9 and 3/4.

These two games are good but mom and dad of all mmo pvp games are close . Darkfall and Conan.

Darkfall clan beta starts next month Razer gaming(the people who make the gaming mice) is going and there taking me with them !!! i cant wait!!!

hope you all enjoyed the screens. I know what its like when you are used to somthing its easy to not see its dire shortcomings.

If you have questions about either game feel free to pm me.

Vanguard lagged so bad for me and had so many graphical glitches that I didn't even play for more than an hour. I can't stand grainy graphics.
Thx 4 sharing though, AoC ftw!

SRO visually looks better tan WoW. WoW is so uttely insanely better gamewise than SRO, however. Umm...every single comparison made between WoW and SRO, SRO loses.

In fact SRO loses when compared to Runescape in alot in areas...LMAO.

Sounds like a system spec issue my fps is pinned at 99 in towns or out and thats with every concieable graphics option cranked up.

VG needs a good pc to run well it is very hard on a lower end machine becouse of the draw distances and shear amount of things ure puter needs to render.

guild wars isn't free.
It doesn't require a monthy payment, but you need to buy a copy afaik.

I made an oath not to play GW again untill the level cap was raised.

Well, if you have a Xbox 360 and Gears of War, then I won't argue heh. However, the one time charge for Guild Wars is worth it,
especially since most people that pay money for Silkroad will probably spend as much on crap just so they can level up within the month.
I generally stay away from games that require years of grinding.

That I do, felt the game was a little too short though. :(

I don't mind the fee for GW at all considering there's no monthly fee, that's where WoW steps in so most of my time is spent on there.

The issue was not w/my system hardware, I have a very adequate system. Don't know why it occured, don't care. Becuase I know in the long run it's either WoW or AoC, and frankly, either way it's win freaking win baby.

Go get a 8800 gts/x and apply to there forums then the beta, then make nice with Oblivion gameing they need a few more people for there beta clan but you gotta have a DX10 card to play.

This is lotro, town of Bree. Unfortunately my graphics are set to "very low" because my card was manufactured during the middle-age. I'm enjoying it a lot. It feels like the books, the graphics (even at very low) are excelent. It's pretty close to WoW, but without the cartoonish graphics and with a universe I can relate to.
