They better think of something else and more safe.

I don't see what's so harmless about drinking gallons upon gallons of water and trying to hold in it for as long as you can...
Being able to piss is there for a reason.

It's like if air was being pumped into you and you were to not breathe out anymore, eventually something bad would happen.

When you drink too much you get a hypoglycemic dip and the brain is deprived of glucose.and in a worse case scenario this can lead to death.

Haha yah I live near Sacramento so I actually get the station. It was a really popular morning show, but the people did that one stupid thing and now i think the show is canceled and the DJs got fired.

Yah it was on the news. As mentioned in the link, there was a call right before that said like literally, "this contest could be really dangerous" and they only said "whatever, not our fault, it's the people's choices" in a very indifferent tone.

I can explode but it's not likely.

Bladder rupture can happen if there is some kind of obstruction. The only medical references I read of this happening by "holding it" are with patients that had a recent previous injury or surgery to their bladder.
