So I think I have matured quite a bit

I realized this about myself some time ago when I admitted to myself that Justin Bieber was actually a pretty good singer and had no problem saying so openly.

So what about you; anything like that happening on your camp as we grow older and hopefully wiser ?

Every time I see an old post made by myself I laugh at what a noob I was :P
The internet is like a public wall of shame for these things >.<

I like to think the mark of an 'adult' is how well you can switch between serious and childish when the situation calls for it. In that regard I think I still have a good deal of work. I should really be acting so much more serious about a lot of things, especially my education. I'm at a spot where I should really be putting a lot of work in, but here I've spent my vacation procrastinating away when I should be taking loads off my own shoulders ._.

I remember saying stuff here years ago that I would not agree with now. Sometimes I find myself deleting my ancient youtube comments after someone replies to them and I get a notification because I find a lot of the comments I left a bit stupid. :palm:

For me the mark of maturing is demonstrating being responsible, exercising moderation, being rational and having a balanced approach to all things...

Simply realizing that you now like Justin Beiber singing ability doesn't seem like some significant shift towards being mature in my opinion but I suppose if a conscious effort was made to revisit/reassess why you didn't like it in the first place in an effort to understand your own untainted perception of the world around you then that is indeed a move towards maturity...

My own maturity seems to be a slow process... I'm still enamored with being care free and living an unbalanced life....I feel I understand what being mature is about but I don't walk the path often enough...

I can definitely relate to most of what has already been said in this thread.

I have definitely matured over the years, but not only that, my English has also improved drastically. Looking back at things I wrote on the internet back in 2006 / 07 / 08 really makes me cringe now!

But that's a good thing, I suppose. Keep improving :sohappy:
