Internet trolls to face two years in jail

Internet trolls will face up to two years in jail under tough new laws proposed by Justice Secretary Chris Grayling following a number of high profile cases.
The sentence for internet abuse is presently six months but under the plans Mr Grayling is proposing to take a hard stance and quadruple it.
It follows the case this week of Chloe Madeley who was targeted on Twitter by a person threatening to rape her.
She was targeted as a result of her mother Judy Finnigan's claims that a rape committed by footballer Ched Evans was "less serious" because it did not involve violence.
The Justice Secretary told the Mail on Sunday: "These internet trolls are cowards who are poisoning our national life.

That's not even a troll...
Trolls spout bullshit, make people argue and generally piss off everybody but that's about as extreme as it gets. That level of abuse cannot really be classified as trolling anymore.

If you don't like what someone has said on the internet, then come off it!
Think 2 years is kinda harsh, considering there are worse crimes that are committed in this country that get less than that!
And rape is rape, don't matter how it had been done or by who.

What is the normal sentence for rape threats (not on the internet?)
I think that is somewhat relevant on this case..
