So I plan on going to a 3 day "edm" festival this summer. What should I bring? Also what am I in for? Am I ever going to be able to sleep or is it a 72 hour party?

EDC?

Is there on site camping? Do you have a hotel?

If it's anything like Coachella, the festival grounds are only open certain hours and then they close to let people sleep and to clean up.

You should probably check the site of the festival you're going to for more information.

Take band aids in case you get a ouchie. Take a tooth brush and make you brush at least twice a day. Take some soap and make sure you clean under you nails! Make sure you bring some fresh undies. And don't forget to call me every night or I'll be up all night worrying about you. /mom

Common essentials, knowledge and be careful.

Yeah, I've never even been to a party or gotten drunk or high. Ignore me lolololol

But yeah, stay safe.

Definitely some water if they let you in with some. Worst case scenario, it's gonna be scorching hot outside.

Reminds me of Bonnaroo last year. 100 degree weather in TN? Shit was awful.

Chella 2012 with 110 degree weather every day of the weekend. It was miserable. Last year we got hit by a random wind/dust storm and it almost ruined Red Hot Chili Peppers.

A way to charge your phone. You'll undoubtedly be searching for reception and taking pictures the whole time and that drains your battery. We used car chargers and ran the cars for a little bit in the morning. Portable chargers though are really helpful. Typically the "charging stations" at festivals get way crowded and are unreliable.

I'd suggest a good sun hat. You'll notice when the back of your neck starts getting burned that you need a wide hat to cover yourself. Best investment I made last year at Coachella

I'm going to the electric forest, thankfully it's in Michigan so the highest the temp will get is 85. The camping is onsite, so almost everyone at the festival will be camping together. I just want to know if they usually have security to shut down any after parties.

@ vegeta. No.

After parties in the camping area? They shouldn't. There were parties going at Coachella all night and all day.
