These days single women post stupid ass photos of themselves, and I'm like; "I don't want to date/wife a gold fish".
Everyone's too familiar with one another. It's disgusting.
Keep the selfies to your close friends, don't broadcast them out for the entire world to see. You're not doing yourselves any favors.

so what's changed? You think people weren't vain before? They just have the internet to broadcast it now... just get off the internet if you don't like it

They also have a tendency to say "and I'm like" or "bitches be like" a lot.

Lol, but Inky has a point... That whole "bitches be like" ... What happened to the days when everyone was up in arms about rappers objectifying women. Now it's a meme, so it's cool?

Yet here we are... Condemning people for shallow fads is no better than their shallow fads. The best you can do is live life the way you want. If it's worth for someone to emulate then maybe your opinion is valid. We're neither better nor worse. Just live your life and don't worry about those who lack your care.

Don't start using Facebook -> Enjoy internet with minimal stupidity.
Something I don't get about this whole selfie-sharing thingy is why people think that other people are interested in seeing these up-close shots of your face? Seems a bit self-centered to me. That being said, it's not like I really care. I think people should be free to share whatever they want. Selfies included.

Yeah even better. I never made one myself, but Tasdik probably has one so phrased it like that :/

The huge self-absorbent trend/movement over the past few years enabled by certain websites is a turn off to me. These social sites tend to be a conduit for selfish behavior much more than it is to connect people. Or maybe that's just me paying too much attention to one side of the coin...
Its funny though how people are far removed from real social interactions... Even within an environment that promotes it they still feel the need to reach out virtually and hype up their self importance with updates of how much fun they're having...lol shit's crazy...

Why do you care, find alike people and let that be your social group. No need to waste any energy on such a nonissue, specially when i'ts just immature people being silly and they'll eventually outgrow it.

Because taking a selfie is a lot easier than finding a person to take a picture of you.

I take picture of my stupid face all the time. Why the hell not? Sometimes I will do it and edit it in a silly way, like turning myself into a puffer fish. Sometimes I will just feel pretty and want to share it with my friends. They are generally seen in good reception, but seriously, who really gives a shit? If your criteria for dating someone is the quantity of photo's they post then you'll end up a very, very lonely man.

I had it open for about a day after I saw it. It's from the new Final Fantasy mmo (14?) I think my brother made it. He's a bit FF obsessed. It's an emote, you laugh then the character just goes back to the default look lol
Have another...more wtf-ish gif from the same game:
