For GDC.. as a sophomore. Simply, because a buddy lives ~30minutes by train to San Fran. $400 overall rather than spending like $1200-1500 mainly due to a hotel, but I think it'll be worth the experience so next year I won't be a deer in the headlights when I'm actually trying to score internships and/or secure possible job positions after graduation.
