I can't seem to leave SRF

I've been on SRF since 2008 and I'm not really an active member but I've noticed that SRF has gotten less active nowadays. Even now I don't log into SRF as much as I used to.
But for some reason I keep coming back to SRF, just once in a while. I don't know why I've kept SRF in my bookmarks for so long now and it's not like I even play SRO anymore.
I hope that some of you continue to post regularly or at least post on SRF because one of these days I'm going to stop coming to SRF or all the mods are going to retire and shutdown the site.
And I know that as time goes on, people move on. It didn't seem that long ago since I joined. In real life, I started high school, and now I'm a 3rd year undergrad. I feel like SRF is a constant reminder of the past because whenever I'm on SRF I still feel like I'm playing SRO or some other game I played before.

I still come back because I have invested so much time here. I have embedded myself into the community.
The feeling I get when I think about joining another forum is like "Damn, I have to start fresh". It's the same feeling as having to move away from your hometown to somewhere new and foreign.

Joining a new forum is like being the new kid in school.

Thats exactly how I feel. I "know" members on this forum as if they lived right next to me, by their posting habits I mean.

OnTopic
I don't post a lot anymore, but I always keep a lookout on the forums, generally like to read some nonsense posts, and the occasional sensational news that I don't see in my local news.

This, basically.
I don't like those extremely large communities. SRF is more like a small group, or a family, really.

It's nice to check in on SRF from time to time, even though I haven't played SRO in almost 4 years.
GD is so quiet, though.

And still after all this time we know nothing of BlackFox other than that he's a stand up guy who thinks of everyone for their birthdays.

We know not of what blackfox is, only that of the birthday threads that he/she posts...
I've been here for so long, it would be rude of me to leave... I've even changed my name, as I was Bastet a life time ago! I am now Isis

SRO brought us together....But yea I am not sure what's keeping us together now that it's gone... Perhaps it's the on-forum relationship that was established over time and sustained by the unique experience the game provided....
Not being able to find a similar experience elsewhere could be a factor too.... Maybe the knowledge of interacting with people who once shared that SRO experience makes it easy to still be here for some us....

I wanted to change my name to Crim once upon a time, but a mod (I believe SuicideGirl) convinced me not to because people have built a relationship to the name CrimsonNuker...or some shit like that #truestory
