Ment to actually SHUT DOWN a program? I see more and more software (f/e spotify and skype) that just react to it as if you clicked the - in stead of the x. Some programs actually have to be shut down via the task manager...

Yeah that is kinda annoying sometimes. Though I don't encounter it that often. I'm used to close Skype through right clicking on it on the taskbar anyways.

Maybe it's Just a... software bug?

Sometimes I prefer that option, I guess maybe they should add a new button, minimize, maximize, hide, close.
Then again I like how my utorrent is setup where minimizing it hides it in the taskbar, and the x actually closes it.

Whenever i write stuff in VBA i make sure the X just makes a popup appear that says "NOPE!".
Nah, i don't really do that, i don't think they'd appreciate it much at work.

Well... this is a tough one.
First of all, it surely isn't a software bug - many programs react this way.
I usually just right click the program in the task bar and hit exit/close, so it doesn't really annoy me all too much.
