If you have a future with someone or not?

Lately, it seems I keep barking up the wrong trees. And its not like any of the girls I've pursued haven't liked me too. Or that we wouldn't have been great together. But for various reasons, it never works out.

So now I'm at the point, where I don't even trust my own heart anymore. Because there are a few girls who I'm like "yeah, there's potential there". But how do I deal with multiple potential candidates? Like, how do you know if its right?

I can see the logic in that.

But should you be satisfied with just whatever works out?

I feel like it could potentially work out with any of my potential candidates. But I'm not satisfied with good. I want the best.

Stop looking for what's best because that's hard to discern as you should know by now....Allow for what fits/compliments you to naturally take its course....If you're gonna sit there and over think and calculate matters of the heart then you're on the wrong path....

That's just it though.

I could go for the nerdy girl, the athletic girl, or the musical girl.

All three are solid options and would compliment me well.

This sounds cheesy, but, I don't just want a typical relationship. I want one that consumes me. Within reason, of course.

Also, side note, most of the relationships where I come from end in marriage. So yeah.

I just feel like I see people all around me settling for what's safe, or what's convenient. And I don't want to be that person.

If you want a relationship that consumes you try becoming an actor, only place youll find one. Humans beings dont work that way, youll be in love for like 3 years after that you just have a partner in life, thats it.

I understand that the initial "love" will die down some. But I don't think, at least in a good relationship, it ever truly dies.

Consume may have been the wrong word to use.

This is true. I guess the real question is one I need to answer for myself.

When it comes to real love we do what feels right..not what was analyzed to be right....Quite frankly ,if you know these girls, you're not in love with any of them if you have be analyzing which one would provide a "consuming" type of love...Just my opinion....

Love is not a logical thing it's not something you can just analyze and figure out. People change over time so the one you love now may be the one you despise in 6 months. So let your heart decide not your mind if you choose wrong oh we'll try again it's all part of the process. Some people get lucky and find the perfect one on the first try and others wait they're whole lives for the girl of their dreams. Just go with the flow and see where you end up.

My brothers/sisters ( the 5 that are married at least) got lucky on the first or second try and are now all happily married to fantastic people.

And I'm just over here raging.

Might need to break out my lucky avatar and maybe throw some astrals and immortals on it, hit fuse, and see what happens.

wanna know why nerds have it hard with girls while goof like me are bathing into them?

its simple, you dont have to use your logic, i mean usually when something isnt working what do you do? you try another way to find a solution to the problem. that's how life work.

girls dont work this way, they arent all the same, so if i fail with one, two or even 10 maybe the next one will work.

if you keep changing your way to approach them you might get caught into a chain of failure and never get out then end up giving up.

i act the same Farking way with all the girls that come my way and it fail often lol but at least I'm getting some lulz out of it and im not being upset about getting rejected.

I partly agree with this.
Being in love will die down a bit at some point, but that's where you'll have to start loving!
What is important to learn is, that at some point you'll have to do something yourself! You'll have to start loving (active) instead of just being in love (passive).

I can truly say that my wife is my best friend, and I'm very much in love with her, and that's because I chose that I wanted to start loving her, because I knew I wanted to be with her for ever.

Maybe it is obvious, but you can't rely on "being in love" forever.
