But seriously? What the hell is the point in wasting most of our lives working for shit we don't even need?

Wouldn't we be happier if we just got back to the basics, and you know, lived life?

You can always do that. Withdraw all your money and move into a small village in some small country in Asia where a few people can speak some English. Make a small retail food store/grocery or farm there. Simple life with less stress.

You can be perfectly fine with some cheap old smartphone. Hell, I still use my Samsung S2 (or 3..I can't recall. There's a sticker covering it) and was never inclined to get the latest models. I don't really care much for the newest car models or the brand of clothes I wear as long as I like the style. My money is mostly getting stockpiled in the bank but I do buy things (usually "useless") that I like. For example, I bought a Totoro desk figure a few weeks ago and some upgrade parts for my paintball gun. Shit I like =p

another young person thinking work is slavery. I don't agree with a lot of work methods but work is necessary for a civilization. Extreme basics.

No need to buy a $50,000 Porsche when you can get one a lot cheaper in Germany.

Yeah, I know that no one is "forcing" me to do anything.

But society has a way of being incredibly persuasive.
