There's a big deal going on there, and I think I don't completely get it.
now you have 17 trillion dollars of debt, your government is frozen, what are the possible scenarios? what could happen to USA in the near future?

I kind of wish the system would crash.
Would it be horrible for a while? Sure.
Would we be better off in the long run? Absolutely.

We are stuck in a constant cycle where govt programs that are convenient to yourself are the definition of freedom while ones that you don't use are wasteful spending and meant for lazy takers.
Having said that I will support a bigass fed govt since the area I live in - northern VA- has had a huge boom due to big military/federal spending and that's very convenient for me
