Later today RIAA CEO Cary Sherman will outline his organization’s vision for increased cooperation between copyright holders and service providers. Sherman will seek agreements with user-generated content sites and promote a new understanding of the DMCA. File-hosting sites should be required to scan incoming links for piracy and search engines such as Google will be expected to do more, including fitting Chrome with systems to block infringing sites and divert users to official sources.

Damnit.
Though Google already refused to remove the Pirate Bay homepage from the search results.

Seriously they are hopeless.
They have to learn to adapt in the new environment, just look at Jay Z selling 2x platinum under 2 months (with the most mediocre record ever), instead of this crap

meh, most people dont really even pirate that much anymore anyway. You can get whatever you want on netflix/hulu/itunes now anyway. Hell, the last time I downloaded a song not off of itunes. . .was like when Kazaa was out when I was in college.

Hulu is only for NA.
iTunes is made by apple and will therefor never be touched by most people.
netflix... well I've got nothing to say about netflix. I'm unfamiliar with the service.

Never used any of them. Nor do I feel the need to. I watch movies from the TV or torrent them, most of the music I listen to isn't on iTunes so I download from YT, also a lot of it is free anyways. I would use Beatport or label sites if I had money.
