Want one, unlikely to be embraced by big oil but heh. Somewhat counting on India to bring it to market since they have something similar in the works already.
Ford is setting up the technology to fail by introducing that design ( intentionally is my guess ). It simply lacks the safety and luxury we are familiar with for no reason. I would still buy it for city strolling though.
Electric cars can go f themselves now.

Good luck with that shit. We're too set in our ways (the majority) when it comes to combustion engines... It's hard to overlook the sound and performance of a combustion vehicle...If they can replicate the full experience with these radical and efficient new cars they are building, then they have a win...Until then they are just making cars for hippies and hipsters...

OT, this is a step in the right direction but hybrids are the best in terms of gas mileage and practicality. Electric, hydrogen, and air are still decades from being truly worth purchasing over a gas driven car. The Nissan Leaf's max range is 120 miles [200km]. Use the AC, factor in traffic, cargo/passenger weight, or even a windy day, it won't even make it 100 miles. Horsepower > the environment

Hydrogen should never be considered, imagine the damage that would ensue when there's a car crash.

Wow I can't wait for this and you guys seem to care less for it, kinda unexpected considering the value of this development.
If I say anything else I think I'll be insulting.

It's more like a car runs on air now. Until it actually enters production what is there to be excited about?

Nah, I'll stick to the combustion engine for now.

I was going to bring this car up to show how limited pure electric cars are. This car barely lasts 20 minutes on the track and takes half a day to recharge. It's useless until there are more advances on batteries.

To be fair most cars don't last all that long on the track. You are pushing the car to its max.

True, but this electric car can't even make a full lap on the Nurburgring without running out of battery, it probably only goes about 8 miles. A 7.0 liter V8 Corvette for example can handle around 8-10 laps, that's well over 100 miles.
