A big hit on Tor network and disguising it as protecting children. They should have targeted the illegal activity directly and left the rest it alone. Though this wasn't their real goal, it was to damage Tor and the bitcoin. **** you government. I recommend any Tor user who happened to leave their scripts enabled to encrypt their computers immediately or wipe them.

It is its own network. Having hundreds of internal nodes that users bounce around in. Servers can connect to these nodes and people can access websites and such. What's great is that all internal traffic is encrypted and no logs are kept making it one of the most effective public proxy systems to date. There is a lot more to than what I said but I did in it ELI5 terms

For those who don't know, "ELI5" means "Explain it Like I'm a five year old"
