Pretty sure you can find a better deal than that. I bought one of my brothers a Lenovo laptop for college last year. Paid 429.99, and it's just as good as this one. Minus the shitty GT620, which isn't worth the price difference.(He didn't need it for running games anyways.)

Also, for the price, that should at least have an SSD too. (avoid HDDs that are 5400rpm, if they're your sole/main HDD.)

Oh yas, Tasdik is buying a new laptop so that he can finally play with us again!
Yay for new PC, but I'm not quite sure if this one is the best deal you can get.

Nah, it's Asus, so it's nice, but the screen is too small for me.

Yeah, I typically prefer at least 15.6. Which for a gamer I know its small.

Having an Asus myself, I can only agree. I simply love my Asus, and I don't see myself buying any other brand in the future, simply because the hardware is just great in Asus' products!

15.6 is just fine for (silkroad) gaming anyway.

Well my deal is, I've always had a shitty computer + internet connection, and yet I still raped faces.

Imagine if I got a good computer. I don't think SRO could handle that much ownage.

I don't think if I could even go back to 15,6" from 17,3".

It's all about perspective.

And the jew in me would rather keep that perspective cheap. ;)

P.S. Also, I really don't want windows 8.

15.6 is just fine. My first laptop was an 18 inch, but I must admit I actually like the 15.6 that I currently have more - simply because of its portability (and I still have 1080p anyway).

Windows 8 isn't bad at all, Tas. You might as well get used to it an enjoy it.
The people who say that Windows 8 sucks are the same who dislikes every new Youtube update, Facebook update etc. It is all about getting used to it, and suddenly you start liking the new features it brings :sohappy:

Soon W8 won't be all that much different than W7. They're going to add the start menu feature, I hear.

I think 15.6 is the sweet spot for laptops.

That feature is already in use in the 8.1 release (Just Google it, it's free) 8)

Yes, it will be back, but not like it is in Windows 7. The only thing it does is give you a shortcut to the Metro-interface, which is what opens when you press the physical start-button.
