Sony seems to be doing everything possible to gain the lead early this time around.



I do think I'll be buying a PS4 this time around, Xbox has grown too dull for me. Forza 4 is the only game I find half-way interesting anymore, Halo and Gears have grown too stale for my taste.
I guess we'll find out tomorrow how the next Xbox will turn out.

Not really. But I do like PC a lot more.

I'm always eager for console launches because then it allows developers to up the games for pc as well. I've been sick of the xbox 360 and ps3 holding back the pc games.

Will defiantly be getting the next PlayStaion. I got fed up with the Xbox when my 360 broke three times, the first time a week after my one year warranty was up.

You guys heard of the OUYA console? I think I might pick one up just because it is so inexpensive and it's new and exciting.

I was a PC gamer for a few years with good all around stats in all of my games [I was in the top 0% in HS/accuracy/KDR in BF3 for quite a while], top 100 in HL2 DM, banned from almost every nameable Black Ops and BFBC2 server for "aimbotting".
I left PC because A. dedicated servers are a mixed blessing as you can see above.
B. You can never tell who's using an ESP/wallhack
C. There are very few people who play PC for anything besides LoL and FB games anymore. I've yet to meet a PC gamer in the last 4 years in person. Real shit.
D. PC gamers always get shafted by devs.

Basically, lower graphics and playing with your friends while coming in 1st** almost every game vs. being forever alone with better graphics.
I could build a SLI Titan rig right now, but I don't see any fun in PC anymore.

And no, Xbox and PS3 are not holding back PC games, lazy, cheap ass developers are. Porting will be easier now, but that doesn't mean they're going to give a single shit about PC, as usual.

** I use a mouse and keyboard emulator called a "XIM Edge". In some games it's near 1:1 to PC. Talk about really pissing your friends off.

No, Crimson. I look forward to it, I'm really curious to see what MS brings to the table... Hopefully no more Kinect garbage. What bothers me is quite a few rumors discussing about how the next-gen will ship with Kinect and may be required to be on. MS hasn't acknowledged it yet, but we'll see soon.

I think by now most of us are sick of Halo and Gears, hopefully there'll be some new serious FPS titles.

Excited to see what happens myself. Only way i'd be getting a PS4 is it Nextbox was always online, which I think they confirmed it wouldn't be already.

It isn't going to be.
After watching the reveal I think it just solidified my purchase of the PS4. The only thing they really talked about was Call of Duty and how it gets DLC first. smh.

^Well thats one of the reasons i switched over...I was young and couldn't afford new games, let alone pay 50$ to play em. But now, no.

I mean who looks at the box when deciding between consoles ~,o (ok I did but I was young and the old xbox 360 looks really shitty next to the ps3)

Xbox doesn't look that good, now it's just a box, doesn't even look like an X. But yeah, don't care much about the console design itself, because what's going to matter more is how the controller is like. Doesn't look much different on the Xbox part and I'm still worried about the triggers on the PS4 controller, they still look a bit wrong. But I'm still going to be a PC only gamer for a long time so I don't really care much.

So the Xbox One looks like a first generation DVD/VHC combo player, and PS4 looks like a second generation Dell laptop. Nice.

The xbox 360 looks ridiculously heavy, aiming for retro but its probably cause they want to release must-buy slim versions later -_-
