Galaxy Note 2

Recently bought a SGN2 (model GT-N7100) on T-mobile which for my surprise runs on EDGE.
Phone frequencies are
GSM: 850 MHz/900 MHz/1,800 MHz/1,900 MHz
UMTS: 850 MHz/900 MHz/1,900 MHz/2,100 MHz
and T-mobile:
As with our 3G network, both 1700 MHz frequency and 2100 MHz frequency are required for a device to function. If a device only has one of these frequencies, it cannot use T-Mobile’s 3G and 4G networks.
So fml, I don't have 1700MHz. Contacted T-mobile thru chat to see if there is something it could be done but seems that its impossible to deal with it since I am missing a frequency...
Thing is I love this phone, but seems that going for EDGE is not good at all...
Should I return it? Should I keep it? and which phone to get instead?
Been thinking the Nexus 4...
