This has to be some sort of an early April Fool's joke man. It's called a gastric tube (PEG Tube in some cases). We use it in hospitals to give enteral feeding to people who fail to thrive or have difficulty swallowing. We can use a piston syringe to aspirate (suction) fluids out of the stomach through this tube to check for contents and placement but never for this reason. well sir, because it was very specific that only a medically trained person would understand, to us uneducated folk we have no idea what a 1/2 n/s + d5w iv drip is. well... i know what a drip is but not the 1/2 n/s + d5w part...

so the joke is, you wouldnt want to be talking to a person who is this specific at a party because you have no idea what they are talking about. now ive explained the joke, its not as funny anymore.
