Finally after being out of school for 2 years I'm going to back to my old uni and finish my 1st year this quarter and hopefully transfer to Ohio University to able to start my second year.

Double Major: Computer Engineering (BS) and Astrophysics (PHD)

Discussion: School/Major/Degree and regrets about your lack or too much education (leading to too much debt [will probably only be americans bitching about this])

Don't skip. Like actually. :(

I've never skipped my whole life but when Uni started I started skipping here and there. It's crazy how skipping a few lectures here and there will really put you behind. It'll be really tempting because of how easy it is. I took advantage of that new freedom and now I'm eating shit in linear algebra (class I kept skipping)

I dislike college. So instead, I decided to get a job that pays 90k/year. Cause, you know, yolo? Yeah.

Long story short, I've just started my University degree after a few years of not studying. I've finished my first week and enjoying it so far, living on campus really helps too. I'm poor but that really doesn't bother me too much.

Study hard -> achieve goals -> happiness

After finishing grade 12 in 2011 (Which is the final year of High-school), and going straight into University, I started disliking it more and more. I ended up skipping about 70% of lectures, and did close to no study at all. My work ethic was atrocious (I didn't really like the subjects I was doing, either.. which didn't help at all). In hindsight, I really wish I put the effort in, or I took a gap year, because I have to repeat half of my first year subjects.

Learn from my mistakes, don't be lazy, and don't skip lectures (unless you can do the lecture in your own time- then its sorta permissible-ish).

Not from America, either. ;)

I agree with all of this. I too skipped linear algebra classes, and it's biting me in the ass.
And, PhD in Astrophysics? That's great.

Ahhh shit...don't get me started...I took so many breaks from my majors/studies and now regretting the time wasted...but to be fair I took breaks because I wasn't too sure/inspired about what I was studying anymore...Now I am back again in school and finishing a degree that I barely care about but I know will help open doors for me....Planning on enrolling yet again into a different major that I know for sure suites me perfectly..... Wish I could do it all over again knowing what I know now....Spent so much time exploring my interests only to be somewhat disappointed..... It felt like a waste.....
