Nope. I watched it when I was 11. It had hardly any plot. It was just one guy dies and move on to the next enemy. It took 10 episodes for a spirit bomb and 20 episodes for one fight. It was garbage and only people nostalgia-guys like it. I watched so many anime. It's not even in my top 100. It's really trash compared with good anime like Evangelion.

Well excuse us for being 10/11 and not really giving a fck about plot, themes and deep motives. I'm sure you were an adult by the age of 10. The action was the best, powerlevels over 9000 and well Goku & Vegata, need i say more? If you didn't watch DBZ at a younger age, you must have been of those guys that eats his lunch alone during breaks

seriously, didn't know anyone that didn't watch DBZ when I was a kid. everyone was talking about it and when Goku became a supersaiyan for the first time, everyone went apesh1t the next day at school

I've seen quite a good handful of anime for my own sake. Imo, Gurren Lagann is amongst my top favorite and tops the charts over DBZ myself, but over Evangelion.. not really. With newer anime shows coming out, obviously DBZ will never stay at the top, but for those who grew up watching it, most definitely. Plus you cannot compare Gurren Lagann to DBZ, the gap when both were made is just too vast.

Evangelion might be one of your most favorites while DBZ is one of mine. You have your reasons as to why you believe DBZ isn't on par with Evangelion and that's fine. I personally believe DBZ has changed many of our childhood lives and is very iconic towards us and the general population of those whom watched it.

It has a really great plot, unlike Dragonball Z. DBZ does not have anything on Eva. If you can't see that you don't know anything about anime. Or you're just trolling. Either way, you're not getting anymore replies from me.
