Guilty Pleasures
Ok so I was wondering what kind of guilty pleasures you guys enjoy that you probably wouldn't share with people in real life.

None of my friends know I play SRO and I have gone to great lengths to keep it that way.

This...ecxept I don't play SRO anymore...but I'd have to say only the friends that would never expect me to be playing any mmorpgs...I think I'd be a little embarrassed if they knew lol...

Re: Guilty Pleasures
I watch Vampire Diaries, and I love Delena
I use Instagram and Twitter, and I feel a bit of joy when people I don't know like my posts.
Sometimes, I enjoy reading celebrity gossip.

Just like these guys, only one of my friends knows that I'm a gamer but none of my friends know that I read manga and watch anime.

Re: Guilty Pleasures
Why do you guys avoid having your friends know that you play games/read manga/watch anime? :S

This.
I mean at this point gaming is part of pop culture. At least where I live everyone plays games like LoL and CoD.

I've also kept SRO a secret. Not so much because I'm ashamed of it, but people who talk about MMO's irl are kind of stupid IMO. Especially people who have a screenshot of their character as their FB profile pic. Makes me facepalm.

I believe that there is a limit to certain things, and sharing these sort of stuff about myself is included. Along with what Tasdik said, how some gamers act in public just disgusts me to no end. I hold a certain image in front of my friends and I intend to keep it that way, as far them knowing I read manga/watch anime.

This is true, when I see a bunch of these people I know sit at a table and talk about League, I would never want to associate myself with the game.

Re: Guilty Pleasures
We all watch bad tv shows and listen to Britney Spears every once in a while, I want something juicier than that!

Re: Guilty Pleasures
You can exchange Britney Spears with whatever you chill to, from Taylor Swift to some japanese anime intro tune, we all got them.

Sro is just a hard game to tell people you play without getting funny looks. Like even people who don't play the game know it kinda sucks.

Re: Guilty Pleasures
Antics, half page signature is a bit too much man.
Sanktum, with a few people here saying that watching anime is a guilty pleasure, I figured having anime songs on your iPod would qualify too. Anyways you know what I mean, but why don't you post a guilty pleasure of your own and stay on topic?

^I meant Britney Spears and Taylor Swift.
And I don't know if I like anything that classifies as a guilty pleasure.

This. My friends know that I play video games (even though I don't think I'm a gamer), but I hate talking about games when I'm out or something.

Re: Guilty Pleasures
Yes....there is a social stigma associated with gamers....and that is they are bickering, nerdy, know-it-all and have no lives or any cool/current/adequate social skills beyond the computer screen....And some gamers reinforce that stereotype and its kinda embarrassing to be associated/thought of in light of this assessment even when you know its incorrect...So it best to just keep it a secret...
