A failed attempt to assassinate Ahmed Dogan. A politician in bulgaria who is pro-turkish. (most east-european countries don't like the turks, and the bulgarians especially cause it took us a couple of centuries to free ourselves from their reign).
The man attacked with a gas pistol. A weapon normally incapable of killing, but still deadly if fired at point blank into the side of the skull. The gun supposedly jammed and he tried pulling out knives but got burried under suits instead.
Most bulgarians believe this wasn't a real assassination, but instead a publicity stunt by his party.
That's what I know.

the assassination attempt was obviously wrong but I dont know why some of these guys started beating on him... if they are like most politicians it would make me angry to see them doing the beating.
in the uk politicians can rob the tax payers, sell meetings with powerful people and even molest children and not even get fired let alone get put in jail or a physical beating.

Ahmed Dogan, afaik, has in the past been accused of bad dealings and corruption. w/e the specific reason is, it's more than likely connected to that.

It looks staged, just a stupid publicity trick by the turkish party because the elections are this year and it aint looking good for them. Most people are sorry that he wasnt killed.
