How to get audio(mp3) from avi file?

Want to get a soundtrack from a movie. The songs are made specially for the movie and cannot be found on the web. Help is appreciated.
ps. only free software please
ps2. prefer to ask 1st here before using google because too afraid of viruses.

We call them OST's and yes, you can get them on the web. if it's a new movie you may have to wait for the official release a bit.
most movies release their OST's anyway...
that aside just google for some converters or audio extractors (?)

Freemake Video ConverterYou can use MP3DirectCut or Audacity to cut the songs as they appear on the movie and save them separately.

What about Windows Movie Maker? I know in Sony Vegas you can just get rid of the video and export the remaining audio as mp3. Maybe you can do the same in WMM.

there were too many suspicious links when i googled. also prefer software because those online convertors would take a while to convert 45min avi file to mp3.
@poe its bulgarian tv series so no OST.

you said movie, not tv series :/
and since when are bulgarians ever afraid of viruses on the internet. Most bulgarians I've seen are the most click-happy torrenters I know ಠ___ಠ

thx for the softpedia link, had to use a few programs but i managed to do it. avi -> m4a, m4a -> mp3 and finally cut the mp3.

Oxelon media converter, a freeware converter that supports most video types.
And Jet Audio trimming tool, comes with jetaudio in a seperate extension, very handy for cutting mp3 files.

All OST can be found on the internet, nub. Just search around the forums

Search the OST on youtube then convert video to mp3 via:
