All that empty space makes me feel like the designer got bored in the middle of the design and decided to stop and follow the windows 8 style trend.

hmmm mine still looks the old way thankfully. I'm so sick of shitty google/yt updates T_T. When will they learn D:!?!

Every single UI update has been making it worse and worse Q_Q

I don't understand this. The only thing that would make sense for that type of layout is for tablets, but they already have an excellent UI for tablets imo :S

That's because they think looking good (discussable) is more important than being practical.

I miss the old old youtube, but I've only seen the new layout on a video I just watched.

Also, new LoL layout isn't too bad, but I am not a fan of the update in general (especially the shop).

Really bad in my opinion, and continues to get worse with each redesign. The large amount of empty space on the right side boggles my mind as my video is shoved awkwardly into the upper left hand corner, why they don't just center it baffles me.

As far as how videos can be chosen they changed that as well, no more related videos on the right hand side, all there are is 15 or so videos from that subscriber you are current viewing, no more drop down with 4 pages of the latest videos, which is a terrible decision as i quite enjoyed going from related video to related video getting to those very random videos that i quite enjoyed.

The home page as the same problem as it is awkwardly shoved to the left hand corner with a bunch of empty space to the right of it. Worse is that it defaults to "What to watch" section so you end up getting a bunch of "recommended" videos and other nonsense mixed in with your subs. When you do click on the "My subscriptions" tab it defaults to all activity, why you can't change this i don't know, so then again you have to click on Uploads only to finally get to just your subscribed videos. Actually not even your subscribed videos just the ones you are allowed to "pin", why they limited this again baffles me, i quite enjoyed the old way that it would just load all of your subs videos into a stream based on most recent. This new way ends up making me miss a lot of videos from my other not pinned subs as checking them daily for videos is just time consuming and stupid.

TL;DR its bad and keeps getting worse.

EDIT: IT turns out if you search for a random video and watch it, there will still be related videos on the side and what i was talking about earlier is only when you click it from the sub page.

I love how the comments is like facebook. Best comparison off the top of my mind. It's really shitty.

Meh, just like all other changes I hate it at first and then I get used to it and learn to live with it. Just wish more programs could be like VLC and keep it simple and the same for years.

Nooooooooo. Yesterday it was still bearable as only the front page was the shitty white/red one and it was still basically centered(the feed should have been in the center, but instead the whole thing was, so the feed was a bit to the left, but no big deal). I did like the previous design with the subscription list on the front page. But no, they just can't fire the god damn designers and give them work to do instead.

The thing I do like though is that it now shows avatars in the comments.

Inb4 arabs wanting right side alignment.

Also, the 'Send feedback' button doesn't seem to be working.

Not upset about it yet, I'll let you know if that changes.

Nvm it sucks, actually used for a bit just now.

Looks like it is unfinished, maybe because it has so much empty space on the right (don't know how to say it, it's aligned to the left or something like that?)

My only gripe is that it doesn't default to my subscriptions when I'm logged in. The left alignment and all that doesn't bother me, I'm only ever watching video's in full screen mode anyway.

yea this is a really annoying thing... it defaults to "what to watch" which to me says "what i dont want to waste my time with". also i dont care what my subscriptions comment or like... i just want to see what they upload. does anyone care what there subscribers comment or like or favourite?

also the "my subscriptions" seem to be different from "subscriptions" now. i dont know if i can even trust the youtube home page to display all of my videos, id rather look in "subscriptions" just to be sure.

I ment the other page... i dont feel convinced that one has all my subscribers uploads on it. The last youtube design made me not trust that page and i expect this one will have issues too -.-
