Silkroad Online Forums

As much as I love this place, it is pretty dead at times. I usually lurk over at somethingawful because they have a lot of good informative threads on games and such. What other forums do you people post/lurk on?

but that's about it. SRF is by far the best forum I've seen :S

speedcubing forums (because i solve rubiks cubes for fun)
excelforums - for work
access-programmers - for work

Id love to use reddit... but i just never understood the way the sub forums work so ive glanced at it but thats it...

not many forums offer a community like silkroad forums, i dont know what special coding srf have too but it appears to be the best working forums ive used too

teamliquid is nice but it can feel too big and it represents the typical internet warriors who think they are right and everyone else is wrong. The general topic section is a total bloodbath lol

I actually hate teamliquid with a burning passion, but it's still just full of content.
But every single mod out there is a Nazi and every user a bandwagon nazi.
When you post something first you'll get 3 pages full of: "use periods!!1!1" or "this belongs in blogs", before anybody says anything about the content of the post. The forum just has no freedom at all... every user has an unholstered gun pointed at their head and the mods are trigger happy. I've seen bans and warnings for shit like posting in bad english or for posting "lol".

It's just ridiculous.

...but it still gets all the elaborate content posts T_T

I may read some other forum once in a while, but I only participate in SRF. I don't think I'll ever join another forum.

Only a local SRO forum that is less active than SRF. I sometimes go to some other forums that I have in my bookmarks, but none of them do I visit regularly.

I visit my clan's forum as much as this one. I only have 2 forums. www.fubgaming.com and www.silkroadonline.net
The other forum is for BF2 and BF3 primarily.

Teamliquid is awful. Mention something bad with reasonings behind it? You got a sea of neckbeards calling you a ****** in a nutshell. Though I've lost interest of SC and TL isn't good for anything else.

If I do browse anything else it's /v/, /3/, and various others. Though it's an image board. I also hate reddit more or less how it's set up for whiteknighting constantly.

This one and ElitePvpers too. Even though I hate EPvp community, so many immature, mentally challenged people there. At least in pSRO section. And, like Aristo, Silkroad Salvation, but it's down. QfakingQ

Which is why I mostly lurk on other forums, especially forums with thousands of active members a day. I find it hard to have an organized discussion with that many members. Some threads on SA move multiple pages in seconds. Kind of useless to post in a thread like that

You just gotta start posting like you're part of the cool crowd. No spam, start with content posts. once accepted you can post some bs too.

God how I hate karma systems. Most people are more obsessed about their virtual karma number than being their selves. Whenever a post gets a lot of karma there are so many pathetic people who try to jump that karma bandwagon and try to leech karma off the initial post. Reddit is really the worst place for this.

damn epvp. some good info but a lot of times i get annoyed by all the hacking or botting talk. its very black hat and quite often kiddy scripters that remind me of those guys on xbox that are like

On a serious note, only mentioned the post count to give an idea of the amount of time I spent on these websites. Most of them were during my early teen years when I had what it seemed to be a shitload of time to spend on MMOs and forums.
