A friend was playing some songs from his favorite band while we were hanging out, and one came up that just shook me at how it paralleled events that took place in my life. A weird feeling came over me, and it felt like I was reliving the moments I learned of what happened, and that I wouldn't see him again.

So my question is, have you ever had a song, movie, or book hit you in a soft spot from how similar it is to a dramatic real life event you went through? If so, did it make you like that song/book/movie more or less?

Woow, didn't know you had to go through that. Life is hard, but you can't be beaten by it and I think you turned out pretty well in the end.

I've been trough alot of dramatic things too, but somehow I managed to close them. They do not affect me at all and I'm not even sure they ever did. So I've never had some special feeling with a song/movie/book.

Yeah, I'm pretty impervious to a lot of stuff relating to losing a loved one, but for some strange reason the lyrics in that song struck a nerve. It truly is a weird feeling for me, being pretty emotionally closed off on things like that.
