Today I bought the Mad Catz R.A.T. 3 Gaming Mouse..

Bought it at Best Buy for $49.99 + tax and a 2yr warranty not sure why I bought the warranty= $63

The mouse is still in its box and I'm starting to doubt the purchase of it..

What mouse/mice do you guys use, and possibly was there a reason to buying it?

Those cyborg rat mice look ugly as hell.

Targus AMW56EU. Nothing special, just bought something quick after I got the laptop. About 1,5 years old. Recently the mouse has started to die for some time until I get the cursor moving and the buttons working again. When that happens, the laser is still lit up so I don't know what the problem might be. Also when I want to open something in a new tab using the scroll wheel, it doesn't work sometimes. I just replaced the batteries about 2 weeks ago.

Logitech MX518. It's not extremely expensive mouse and has everything I need, plus I dont like tiny mise.

logitech m500. got it for 20 euro's.

A standard made in china 2$ mouse, been using it for years, but lately I'm debating to buy a more high tech mouse.

don't play shooters on the PC anymore so I'm using some mouse I found in the attic.

I would be raging when my mouse died while playing an FPS. Good that I don't do that any more.

I got the R.A.T.5 for like $45 no tax or shipping. I think you might have over paid.(but it was on sale at newegg)

I got a newer one(Older model had lower dpi and software issues) and it hasn't given me any problems on hardware or software side. It's pretty nice to be able to change DPI on the fly, but nothing special. All my other mice are Logitech, and perform just as well as the R.A.T. but with less features.

No problems 6 months later and I'm happy with it. Before I was using some cheap ass "ihome" mouse.

I had to adapt with the small surface area for the palm, but I like it a very good mouse, although the Teflon pads are starting to wear out, because I just use the desk surface and not a mouse pad...

This. Recently bought another G500 because the RAT 7 is a horrible mouse and I regret ever buying it.

I had the G500, the sensor isn't the best, it has acceleration that you can't remove and it was too heavy for my taste, even without the weights.
I got rid of it for a Logitech G400 with fixed prediction. This mouse allowed me to reach the top 1% in the world in BF3 with headshots, I'd say that's good enough.
Oh and it doesn't have a braided cord, yay no more snagging and fraying.

I had 2 DAs, both arrived DOA, I had a Steelseries Sensei, was also DOA.

The Rat uses the Phillips Twin-Eye sensor, which is a pile of crap.
The Zowie AM, G400, DA, SS Kana, and SS Sensei [Raw/MLG imo] are some of the best mice to be released in the last few years.

I'm curious what do you use the 12 buttons for? I don't even use the side 2 on my mouse.

Logitech M305. I think it's been like 4 or 5 years since I got it. Never failed.

A good keyboard with macro buttons > Naga's 12 small ass thumb buttons, imo

Plus when I played WoW, I had everything important macro'd and still wouldn't have used all 12 of those buttons

Well I used the RAT 3 for all of yesterday and I'm not a fan of it tbh. The mouse looks neat but just feels..

I currently use the Logitech m505 and I personally think this mouse is wicked sick.
