... change this forum topic?
I don't have the exact words right now but something like kill Silkroad, and make it something else.
I'm bored

<- 6k post of good memories, now only few people come here to only the OTL.
Well, at least me. I just go to somewhere else of the forums if I don't have absolutely nothing to do.
Also check attachment, registered users are only people who often visit OTL s well. and a bunch of... sro players guests? o.O

I've thought about this too

I'd be a darn shame if we lose this community. I love it here, I don't think I've ever closed the SRF tab in the past 5 or so years. But it's bound to happen as SRO is slowly losing it's popularity...
Maybe Blade and Soul Forums

(BSF?)

No, let's not delete any association with Silkroad. Not yet. First we have to see what SRO 2 has to offer.

I like Silk road in the forum name. It brings back memories from middle school and early high school years.
But I do hope that this forum survives for years to come. If it ever goes down I won't know what website to visit besides facebook

SRF can't be replaced. It can only die a graceful death (or get revitalized with Silkroad 2). SRF has already established a strong memorable connection between us and the game. SRF is our last piece of connection to nostalgia... Anything else will just be a completely different forum with a new wave of members unknown to us.

High five for being online!
I don't think the entire forum as such should change.
Perhaps a 'bigger' subforum could be formed at one point with their own general discussion / q&a and game-related issues, while still keeping the same OTL.

Most of those 'guest' people are .. in fact people like me who just look over the forums while being logged out. Since I don't automatically sign in the moment I visit SRF, I'm listed as a guest.

I like how SRF sounds but not silkroadforums.com if that makes sense. Not going to lie we're dying a bit but at least we're still connected in patches one way or the other. Some of you guys I have on Steam, GW2, Facebook, etc.
It's crazy that I've been here since the start of Junior High and I'm now in my first year of University

Could just change the forums to a gaming clan. SRF tags or something. Still keep OTL, but combine the SRO sections and add sections for popular games that members appear to be playing.

who remembers the goold ol' days when we needed like 20+ moderators to direct the forums, each section had it's own moderator and they actually needed to do something. now 2 moderators can direct the whole forum, easily.
but yahh, as long there's OTL, there's SRF.

Haven't been here as long as most of you guys, but I kinda like the idea of a smaller population base on the forum. Sure, it's the same dudes who come check the forum often, and because it's based on Silkroad, chances of getting new members are slim. As gay as it sounds (even though I don't talk to barely anyone on here), I wouldn't have anyone else. <3

this?

Holy shit.
I've talked to the mods about Site Discussion spamming before, and they basically said "We can't always keep up with it, but that's why we redirected most spam threads to the Site Discussion, aka, a relatively inactive part of the forum".
Give or take.
Tl;dr: Mods aren't able to keep up with, or refuse to keep up with keeping the forums clean from spammers.

HOLY GUACAMOLE.
Well, hence that, not even mods are always up to make some moderation...
Yes, I had browsed GD like yesterday or so... same freaking post from like 1 month ago. Wut.
Idea is, well, not to delete or whatsoever, but like Goseki said, combine all SRF related to a single sub-forum and change the essence of the forum itself.
Could be a good idea, Silkroad Online would be finally placed in Other games. Epic.
For now, party is here at OTL. (Although... OTL is also slightly dead as well. 1 month ago or so topics still on top with fews posts on it. Same users posting.)
and yup, I do always get on and signing automatically (Cookies <3)

Sorry about that, cleaned that bit up. As stated we don't always check that often now and when we do not always for spam posts. I usually just check OT and OG when i log in.

Don't remind me of when i played SRO, those were horrible times. Never got past level 41.
But as for turning the forum into something else, might be a good idea. There was a large EVE online community forum that had to reform and when it did it made the off topic forum the main focus, seems to have turned out well.

Well, on second thought.. that actually sounds like a pretty good idea.
