Pfft. A 4 hour trip south to Tijuana says different. Even Nevada, which is only a 4 hour drive as well, sells the fun fireworks.

so deh wtf, this is my first 4th of July in Athens, and I drive to the area behind Walmart where I was told they launched the fireworks, but no fireworks. I go to the fairgrounds....where the website said...no fireworks...but 105.5 said there was going to be fireworks at 10, and the music even went off. I watched the sky like a hawk and Farking nothing. Either the was no fireworks or hillbilly tax dollars do not go towards fireworks..whatd they do? light up some Farking sparklers and call it a night?

/rant

oi sparklers are awesome.
But really that sucks. A high school I live near would do a fireworks show on J4 but for a couple years there hasn't been any.

Your use of hillbilly made me think you meant Athens, TX where the main office of the company I work for is... it is definitely hillbilly.

I find southern states to have rednecks, and northern states hillbillies. Athens is right next to West Virginia the hillbilly capital of the country
