Power Outage

Some high winds hit yesterday at around 85 MPH (130KMH) and yah haven't had power. It's 94 with 80% humidity. I'm parked downtown at a parking meter charging my laptop/phone in my car and getting WiFi from the pub. I'm saving my generator for tonight so I can have some light, other than 8 candles. Just brings me to ask, what's the worse power outage you've had and did it affect you? My worse was back in September 09' when our power was out for 4 days.
Also, I can't run my AC in the car while charging because my AC gets priority

First world problems.
And once the power went out for a week on my street alone. It was so awkward getting up to pee a night.

Ice storm '98. The trees and power lines were so covered in ice from freezing rain that they collapsed. I didn't have power for 2 weeks.

Lol yup 1st world problems

I live in Ohio, southeastern area.
We have at least one power line in our neighborhood down, so it must be bad everywhere. Funny thing is I decided not to go to Florida this year, and have the house to myself for 10 days, and when I decided not to go to Hawaii in September 09' that's when the power went out for the 4 days. I just might start going on the vacations from now on lol

Never had a power outage, don't know what I would do if I had one, probably just go to my work since it's 30 miles away and hang out there.

Hell yah, I have T-Mobile, but I'm roaming on AT&Ts 4g network atm, but before I'd only get 2g here. And earlier today I had no service at home. Another story, I was coming in from the deck to check on the animals and the screen door fell off, went to try to put it back on and I saw a wasps nest!

I grabbed what I needed off the deck all except my candles, luckily I found more

I want to be 6 year old me again, the ice storm was the tits. No school, no power, my best friend lived next door and we had a wood stove to heat the house. Probably the best two weeks of my life.

One time we had a power outage and my mom went crazy on the candles and put up candles in every room, in front of every window, through all the hallways and on all the stairs. For years our house was known as 'the place with all the candles'.

I've only had a few power outages before and never more than an hour or so. Although, both my parents grew up without electricity at all. They both came from very poor areas so it was simply something that they couldn't afford to have. Now days, power bills go up 5% and people complain that running their 5 TV's, 4 computers, 24/7 air conditioner and a million appliances is going to cost them too much money >_> (sorry for the completely offtopic rant :p)

Best thing whenever it snowed for me was there was a school in the backyard of my house and it had a huuuuuuge field. So much fun playing in the snow. I think it was 2000 or 1999 when Chicago had a huge blizzard. Too bad it was during winter break so school couldn't be cancelled.

Speaking of hot weather, was down in Fl over the weekend, which was nice since back home at TN it got to be like 110. And oddly enough, FL was cooler then TN. But anyhow, when I got back home, I turned on the AC (Shut it off while I was gone to save mucho dinero), it was at like 90 degrees late last night. Let it run all day, came home from work, and it was still at 94 degrees. **** that noise.
