I Suck at math

I took my placement test for university next year and I landed in Uses and Analyses of functions.
Its basically one class behind Calc 1, I don't understand why i'm so bad at the simple stuff if I passed AP calc with a 94 average.
Q.Q Just felt like venting.

What did you score on the AP calc AB or BC test? And on the SAT/ACT math?

Math sucks anyway

Nah, but that's too bad.

Meh... I don't think you"suck" at it. Well.. people learn things differently.
Not everyone can pick up a Math book, and read it 1-2 times and learn it
Some people need further teaching and explanation into it.

I get the score in a month.
The test was basic math up to trigonometry. I don't know why I'm so bad at the basic stuff.

All my friends going "loool bro we taking Calc. in high school, more free room in uni or w/e".
They still end up taking Calc II in their second Uni semester next year like me

Math stopped being logic when they started merging the alphabet with the letters

I keed. But what I experienced was that math all of a sudden got way harder the last year before University. You just gotta keep in and study hard!

Did calc 1 and calc 2 a couple months ago. Got B- and B without much effort. They are not really hard classes if you are somewhat good with numbers.

Calc in high school is a crash course, specially AP BC. You spend a shorter amount of time doing what normally takes 1-2 whole semesters. If you get it though, you won't need to retake it in college.
I took BC in high school, got a 4 and enough credit for up to Calc 2. Never took a single math class in college. It's nice and totally worth it if you pass. When I say pass, I mean the AP test. The grade in that class means nothing.

yeah doing BC is really nice. Two free semesters freshman year is gold.
I don't think calculus 1 or 2 is that difficult in terms of concept. And the method of differentiation and integration is really really easy. It's easy to set up calculus problems; I think people screw up because they have a poor grasp at basic arithmetic and algebra. It's the algebra that comes while solving calculus problems that can be tricky.

This is where I messed up on my placement test which is why I have to start off in such a low class. But i guess it is for the best that I retake the course.

If you are talking to me, then no.
I study economy right now. Next year will be my first year at University where I will study Marketing and Management Communication. So yeah, a little less match in the last one.

If you take AP BC then you move at the exact same pace as college (actually still a little slower cause you skip some things). Calc AB = Calc 1 in college and Calc BC = Calc 2 in college so if you're taking Calc BC you spend one semester on Calc 1 and one semester on Calc 2 which is the same pace as college. Calc AB moves at half speed.
